A body belt that protects people from the worst effects of gamma radiation has been developed by an Israeli company. The device, called Stemrad 360 Gamma, could be a real boon for the emergency services in case of a nuclear incident. The belt weighs just over 15 kilos is wearable for most people.
Oren Milstein, the co-founder of Stemrad said the belt may look simplistic on the outside but the structure inside is three-dimensional and very unique.
