The Election Queue Management System, a first of its kind initiative in the country during the April 30 Lok Sabha polls in Burdwan district of West Bengal, has proved to be a hit. 
Burdwan District Election Officer said that during the election to the two Lok Sabha seats - Burdwan-Durgapur and Burdwan Purba, 22,800 SMS queries from voters to know the number of people in queue at their polling booth, were received. Besides 1800 mobile queries, the web request from voters for the Election Queue Management System during the polls was around 44,000.
