President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Mohd Hamid Ansari, former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and leaders from various political parties and dignitaries offered floral tributes to Nehru at his Samadhi- Shanti Vana in the national capital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tributes to Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary. Soon after assuming office, Mr Modi tweeted to pay respects to Nehru.
